Jesse Reynolds Fourth in the World

Day 6 Wrap of the 2023 Para Swimming World Championships

Jesse Reynolds has just missed out on a medal at the Para Swimming World Championships in Manchester.

Swimming in the 100m Backstroke (S9) the Commonwealth Games silver medallist swam a time of 1:04.85s to qualify fourth for the final.

Coming up against a fast pack in the final, including the world record holder, Reynolds was unable to improve his heat time, placing fourth in 1:04.95s.

Italian Simone Barlaam came first in 1:00.35s, with France's Ugo Didier in second and Australia's Timothy Hodge in third.

Tomorrow is the final day of competition at the 2023 Para Swimming World Championships.

Cameron Leslie will be looking to add a fourth medal to his haul, competing in the 200m Freestyle (S4). Joshua Willmer is also in action in his only event of the meet, the 100m Breaststroke (SB8).
