Join Us for the 2023 NZ Masters Swimming Championships
Swimming NZ is excited to be partnering with NZ Masters Swimming to present the 2023 NZ Masters Swimming Championships which will be held from 25 - 27 May at the Hawke's Bay Regional Aquatics Centre.
This is an exciting opportunity for all swimmers 18+ (you don’t need to be a member) and is a great way to stay active in the water during the cooler months. It is not too late to enter so grab your friends and come down for some great racing in a social environment.
New Zealand has 8 swimmers heading to Fukuoka, Japan for the World Aquatics Masters Championships in August. The NZ Masters Swimming Championships will be a great opportunity to race against some of these athletes before they depart for their international competitions.
Brent Foster is one of the swimmers competing before heading to Japan and is the current World Record holder of the 400m Individual Medley in the 55 – 59 years age group.
"I'm looking forward to the NZ Masters Nationals, in the new Hawke's Bay Regional Aquatic Centre which I've never been in before. It will be great to see old friends again and swim long course."
This event is the perfect opportunity to challenge your mates to some shorter races in the pool or just get some race experience. You can even watch the Warriors at McLean Park after your swim on Saturday night. It’s open to anyone aged 18+ so join us and have a friendly race in the pool with your mates during the cooler months.
Entries close this weekend on Sunday 14 May. We look forward to hosting you in Hawke’s Bay.
