Swimming NZ is pleased to announce that Auckland-based Absolute Insurance Ltd is partnering with World Champions Lewis Clareburt and Erika Fairweather to help them with their preparation for the year ahead.

Absolute Insurance is owned by Swimming NZ President, Olympian and Commonwealth Gold Medallist, Jaynie Hudgell (Aquablack #86), and her husband Craig. Jaynie and Craig will provide Lewis and Erika with a generous cash contribution each towards their Paris preparation and a two-year personal risk insurance policy at no cost.

Jaynie and Craig are both thrilled to be able to support Erika and Lewis.

"We are delighted to be able to get behind two athletes of Lewis and Erika’s calibre and help them ensure that no stone is left unturned in their preparation for Paris.”

With a lifetime of involvement in swimming at all levels, Jaynie and Craig see their support of Lewis and Erika as a way of giving back to a sport that has given them so much over the years. They hope that their support will inspire other individuals or companies to also get behind our top athletes to help them achieve their swimming goals through direct financial support to the individual.

Swimming NZ's CEO Steve Johns acknowledges the vital contribution from Jaynie and Craig.

"Thanks to Jaynie and Craig for their contributions to help Lewis and Erika with the preparations leading in to Paris. Their commitment to giving back to the next generation of Aquablacks and our sport is greatly appreciated."

Thank you to Jaynie, Craig and the Absolute Insurance team for their support of the sport and of Erika and Lewis.
