Swim Coaches & Teachers Conference 2023

Come and be part of ‘Together.23’ the New Zealand Swim Coaches and Teachers Association annual national conference. September 8th to 10th in Christchurch – at the Rydges Latimer.

Together.23 is designed to offer something for all levels of swim teacher, swim coach, and swim school leaders. Planning is well underway with a draft schedule designed to give you and your team many opportunities to learn, share, and connect with your professional peers. The total conference experience will excite and reenergise everyone.

Together.23 will start on Friday 8 September from 10am with morning coffee and a chance to connect with others straight away, with the conference opening at 11am, and closing at 2pm on Sunday 10 September.

We are proudly showcasing Kiwi experts this year: sector leading New Zealanders who are here on our doorstep. The speakers will come from within our industry and from outside. They are known for their innovative, practical thinking and successful application of strategies, products and services relevant to us all.

Topics will cover child learning, development coaching, youth and performance coaching, adaptive aquatics, water safety, inclusion and diversity, teaching adults, technology and more.

There will be a mix of presentations, active workshops, panel sharing, and a water session to support your learning.

Your wellness and wellbeing, nutrition and self-care are in the program mix. Looking after yourself and the people on your team is more important than ever.

Although we are still confirming the topics and speakers, I can assure you there are many fresh faces, a range of interesting topics, and a variation of presenting styles you will enjoy and take plenty from.

The coaching stream is being keynoted by Janelle Pallister (co-coach with Michael Bohl, Australian Swimming High Performance Centre, Griffith University).  Supporting Janelle is a cohort of NZ leading, and soon to be leading, swim coaches.

There will be options for everyone; Teacher, Coach, Business Leader / Owner. Your registration will allow you to work across the presentations and sessions you choose.

And we will celebrate. Our Annual Awards celebration dinner will be held on the Saturday evening, 9 September. This is an occasion to recognise and acknowledge the people in the wonderful space of swim coaching and swim teaching.
